Landscaping and Irrigation

Denver Community Park landscape plant and irrigation installation.

Location

Denver, CO
Landscape bed renovation at Denver Community Park involved demolishing the pre-existing landscape and installing new native plant materials, irrigation, mulch, and edging.

Challenge

The property was overgrown, and the client desired a refreshed look to provide residents with a more refined appearance. The plant varieties selected were species native to Colorado and the surrounding area. The design aimed to offer aesthetic beauty with perennial flowers and native shrubs that promote pollinators and provide cover for wildlife.

Solution

We sourced plant materials native to Colorado to ensure longevity as the new landscape matures in Colorado’s challenging growing climate. A new irrigation system was installed to ensure adequate watering.

The landscaping project began with a pre-construction discussion with the county to address the planning and schedule of work. The equipment staging was pre-planned and delivered the day before work began. The existing landscape was demolished, and all debris was removed from the site. New edging was installed to define the planting bed edges, and soil amendments were added to enhance soil nutrition prior to planting. Plant materials were installed according to the design, and new irrigation pipes were connected to each planter bed. Once the plants were installed, fresh mulch was applied as a top dressing to provide a clean, finished look.
