Our client is committed to caring for animals and serving the local community. To allow them to focus on that mission, DCPS offered our expertise in repairing and maintaining their building. Our team began by thoroughly assessing the exterior damage and developing a comprehensive repair plan that included stucco and stone veneer repairs, as well as fresh paint for the stucco, metal trim, and doors.

To help our client select the perfect exterior paint color, we provided color rendering services, offering multiple options to choose from. The client ultimately selected a modern color palette that significantly enhanced the property’s aesthetics and curb appeal.

To begin, our team pressure washed the entire building to remove dirt and debris, even areas that were not being repainted. We completed the stucco and stone veneer repairs, ensuring a smooth and durable surface. Numerous sections of the stucco displayed hail damage or substandard prior repairs such as silicone caulking being used over cracks on the stucco. The damaged areas were patched and blended into the surrounding stucco. On larger repairs the panel was fully skim coated to ensure a uniform appearance. Additionally, loose or missing stones on the veneer were replaced. This phase took approximately one week.

To ensure proper protection during painting, we meticulously masked and taped all areas. A high-quality primer was applied, followed by a durable paint finish for long-lasting results. To address hairline cracks and prevent water intrusion, a thick coating was used on the stucco. For the metal trim, a specialized coating was selected to ensure strong adhesion to the pre-finished metal siding. Additional trim areas were primed and finished with acrylic latex exterior paint for a polished and durable finish. For the doors and railings, we used professional industrial water-based alkyd urethane enamel, known for its easy application, resistance to yellowing, and washability, ensuring the finishes would stay vibrant and maintainable for years to come.

This comprehensive process not only improved the building’s appearance but also provided lasting protection, aligning with our commitment to delivering exceptional construction services.
